Religious Education at Our School
At Homer First School, Religious Education is a vibrant and valued part of our curriculum. Using the Oxford Diocese Board of Education (ODBE, Oxford Diocesan Board of Education) scheme, we provide pupils with a rich and balanced RE curriculum that helps them explore Christianity alongside a range of world faiths. Through thoughtful enquiry, discussion, and reflection, children develop a deeper understanding of beliefs, values, and the ways in which people live out their faith.
Our RE teaching encourages curiosity and respect, helping pupils make sense of their own worldview while learning to appreciate the diverse beliefs within our community and beyond. We aim to nurture thoughtful, informed, and compassionate learners who can engage with big questions about life, meaning, and morality.
