Special Educational Needs and Disability

At Homer we are committed to providing every child with an equal opportunity to achieve in all areas of school life. Our SEND policy sets out how we follow the SEND code of practice. Our local offer is a means of providing information to parents and carers about how we support children with additional and or special educational needs. As parents and carers, you are fully involved at every stage of meeting your child's needs, should you wish to discuss your child’s needs please contact the school’s SENCOs Mrs Young and Miss Noon via the school office.

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead SEND Local Offer Provides information on local services and support available for families including children and young people aged 0 - 25 years with special educational needs or disabilities.

RBWM Collaborative Responsibilities The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) education support offer is needs led : any provision or support should be provided in line with the needs of the children or young person and is not dependent on any formal diagnosis.

GEMS Autism and ADHD Support Service East Berkshire GEMS is for children, young people and adults who are diagnosed with, or who may have, autism and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Information, Advice and Support Service (IAS) The Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Service for Windsor and Maidenhead is a statutory service. The IAS Service provides free, impartial and confidential information, advice and support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) up to age 25, and their parents/carers.
